Feature Plants: Beschorneria yuccoides & Acacia CurvaceousIn this newsletter we feature two distinctive and hardy plants: Beschorneria yuccoides, the Mexican Lily and a new release for Alpine Nurseries, Acacia ‘Curvaceous’. Beschornoria yuccoides
Beschornerias are very hardy once established and look great as either a feature plant or planted in masses. Plants are heat, wind, drought and frost tolerant and enjoy a sunny position and well drained soil making them ideal for a wide range of applications and locations. Beschorneria yuccoides will be available in 300mm pots in late spring, call our sales team on 9651 0999 now to reserve yours.
Once established Curvaceous requires little maintenance and no pruning. It’s drought tolerant and reasonably fast growing once the root system has established making it ideal for low maintenance areas including mass planting over difficult sites. Curvaceous offers year round interest with its evergreen presence. When planted along retaining walls or embankments the weeping foliage will fall to soften hard edges. Plant as a feature plant in small gardens or in large pots for patios, decks and other hard surfaced areas. Acacia ‘Curvaceous’ will be available in 200mm pots in late spring, call our sales team on 9651 0999 for more details. [Photo 14][Photo 15] |
