Alpine Trademart Winter 2008
The drop in temperature and reduced daylight hours spell the end to a very mild Sydney autumn. However the good autumn rainfall means gardens remain full of vigour.
We eagerly anticipate the arrival of the bare-rooted and bagged deciduous stock from Victoria in mid to late June and July. As usual there will be a large selection of ornamental tree varieties, fruit trees and fruiting grapes such as standard white wisteria, weeping maples, flowering magnolias, lilacs, flowering pears, persimmons, figs, quince, apples, and cherries.
We have a new fantastic range of Aloe hybrids in 175mm (7”) pots. There is also a great spread of tree ferns (Dicksonia antartica) with trunks ranging from 300mm (1’) to 1800mm (6’) and upwards.

We have expanded our range of potted citrus by introducing an excellent new supplier with good numbers of 400mm (16”) varieties to complement our existing range of 10ltr and bagged varieties.

Due to the continued demand for native plants in recent months we have signed up a new supplier to expand our range of native species. The Trademart now has an assortment of fantastic grafted 250mm (10”) Grevillea standards and grafted 200mm (8”) Eremophila species. There are also new varieties of 140mm (6”) and 200mm (8”) Acacia, Correa, Epacris and Banksia species to name but a few.

We continue to have a good supply of 300mm (12”), 45ltr, 75ltr and 100ltr bangalow palms (Archontophoenix cunninghamiana), 200mm (8”), 250mm (10”), 300mm (12”) and 400mm (16”) Rhapis palms (Rhapis excelsa), 200mm (8”) and 300mm (12”) Golden Cane palms (Chrysalidocarpus lutescens) and 140mm (6”), 200mm (8”), 300mm (12”) and 45ltr Cycads.
There are still good numbers of 300mm (12”) Magnolia ‘Little Gem’ and ‘Kay Parris’.
It’s the time of year to purchase Camellia sasanqua varieties whilst they are looking their best in flower. The Trademart has a great selection of varieties and sizes. There is also some fantastic espaliered Camellia setsugekka and Camellia ‘Paradise Blush’.
