New Dock and Truck
At Alpine Nurseries we are always trying to find ways to improve efficiencies and work in a safe environment. 
With Dural potentially taking delivery of up to four semi trailer loads per week from our Alstonville site we have made the decision to build a new loading dock specially made to accommodate our semi trailers. Unloading from the same level as the truck makes the process safer for the staff, unloading time is dramatically reduced and plants can be allocated to the designated areas for numbers to be checked more quickly.
With our continued growth in sales and to improve our service levels even further, Alpine has recently purchased a new delivery truck to be based at Dural. This is in addition to the other three trucks we already have in our fleet.
In recent times we have been using outside contractors to deliver our plants in times of peak demand, and this will continue with one of regular carriers, but now with the fourth truck we can offer increased regular services to areas within and outside the greater metropolitan area. These areas include north of Newcastle, the South Coast, Canberra and west to Dubbo.
