Comments, Features & Uses:

A low growing perennial covered in Spring and Summer with deep blue flower spikes borne over large dark green crinkled leaves which have a metallic bronze sheen.
Decorative groundcover useful in preventing soil erosion.

Moist, shaded, semi-shaded to sunny position with cool root run.

Soil Requirements:

Cool , moist, humus enriched soil.

Moisture Requirements:

Maintain soil moisture.

Temperature Range:

Sub tropical to cool temperate, will tolerate frost.

Maintenance and Fertiliser Requirements:

Apply a slow release fertiliser in Spring.
Restrain spread by removing excess plants.

Pests and Diseases:

Slugs, snails.

Spacing Guide:

0.3m – 0.5m centres.
