Highly favoured, evergreen, compact, bamboo-like shrub with attractive fern-like foliage that will change colour with the seasons. Admired mainly for its habit and foliage ‘Gulf Stream’ is an excellent choice for border plantings, as a garden feature, or in containers. Great for small gardens, particularly those with a Japanese theme, or as a feature plant in courtyards or on balconies.

Selected from a breeding program done by Bill Bar of Houston, Texas. All Nandina varietal forms originate from N.domestica which is native to Asian regions, from India to Japan.
