Zantedeschia aethiopica 
Lily of the Nile or Arum Lily 

A tuberous perennial with large clumps of broad dark green leaves. The large white funnel shaped flowers with yellow spadix are borne from Spring to Autumn.

Dimensions:     

60 to 90cm high x large clumps.

Aspect:

Full sun to part shade.

Coastal Tolerance:                

Nil

Soil Requirements:

Wet to boggy soil or well drained soils with ample year round moisture.

Moisture Requirements:

Will remain an evergreen if ample water is applied throughout the year. Semi aquatic plant for boggy ground that is often inundated with water to 30cm.

Temperature Range:

Temperate climate.

Maintenance and Fertiliser Requirements:


Remove old foliage if required. A slow release fertiliser applied in Spring will encourage flowering and lush growth.

Pests and Diseases:

Not known.

Spacing Guide:

0.5m for massed effect.
