Cultural Notes
|
Although this is not a new plant it has only recently been added to the Alpine range. It a hardy and spectacular small tree and is particularly suited to coastal situations. It can be used as a car park shade tree, a specimen plant or used cleverly to highlight the vivid bronze/ purple leaves. The flowers are yellow and prominently stand out against the foliage. |
Notes on Trialing

Is susceptible to Hibiscus beetle attack which will leave holes in the leaves. Treatment can be spraying or pruning back to encourage new growth.
