Cordyline fruticosa 'Kiwi'
Hawaiian Ti, Kiwi Ti, Tiplant, Cordyline Kiwi
Description
A broadleaved evergreen shrub with upright, cane-like stems. The soft, colourful, strap-like foliage grows symmetrically around the stem. Foliage colour can be dark green, red, yellow, pink or variegated. During the warmer months small white/mauve/purple flowers are produced, followed by clusters of red berries. Great for adding colour and texture as understory 'block' plantings in Tropical gardens, giving instant impact. Can also be used as potted indoor specimens. Grows best in partial shade and requires regular watering during the Summer heat. Prefers a well drained soil enriched with organic matter. Very frost tender. Remove old foliage to keep tidy and cut back in Winter, if required, to keep bushy.
