Description
A creeping conifer with a prostrate, dense habit, forming a groundcover carpet. The scale-like steely-blue foliage turns a dull purple in Winter and the fruit is a dark blue, ovoid berry. Prefers a well-drained position but tolerates a wide range of soils and conditions. Dislikes waterlogged conditions intensely. Grows in full sun to part shade and tolerates frost and strong winds. Water regularly to establish and mulch well to keep soil moist. Suitable for rock gardens, cascading over walls, or on banks to stabilise soil and prevent erosion. A very low maintenance plant.
