Syzygium australe 'Garden Lights' PBR
Garden Lights Lilly Pilly
Description
A dwarf, compact and dense form of Syzygium australe that has flushes of colourful, red and bronze new foliage and fluffy white flowers during Spring and Summer. Flowers are followed by small, long-lasting purple berries. If flowers and berries are not desired, prune just before flower bud break and this will encourage a new, colourful flush of foliage. Best foliage and floral displays are seen in full sun but the plant will grow in part shade. Prefers a moist, well-drained enriched soil and will tolerate drying out between waterings, but good applications of Summer water is appreciated. Will withstand only very light frost. Responds well to pruning and is a good choice for hedging, topiary work, containers or as general garden specimens. Psyllid free.
