Tricolor Star jasmine
An attractive, slow growing, mounding plant with variegated cream and green foliage, overlaid with year round new tip growth that is pink and cream. This is a cultivar of Trachelospermum jasminoides with insignificant flowers. Grows in full sun to semi shade in organic enriched, well-drained soils. Once established will tolerate dry conditions but it is advisable to maintain soil moisture during Summer months. Can be found in a wide temperature range from tropical to cool temperate and will tolerate light frost. The coloured foliage is a lovely feature of this plant and it works well as a contrasting groundcover, low border, spillover plant or container specimen. Prune to shape as required but ‘Tricolor’ is not as a rampant a grower as the climbing forms. Apply a slow release fertiliser in Spring.
