Clivia Belgium Hybrid
Orange Kaffir Lily
Description
A valuable clumping perennial with broad, glossy green, strappy foliage. The showy flowers are burnt orange in colour, funnel form and arranged in an umbel florescence, which sits above the leaves on stout stems. Good for understory and border plantings in shade. Suits Tropical, Cottage and Contemporary style gardens and also good crowded into pots. Prefers moist soils, enriched with organic matter and good drainage but will tolerate poorer soils. Tolerates short periods of mild drought but prefers regular watering, particularly during Spring and Summer. Not frost hardy but will endure some cold conditions. Likes morning sun and afternoon shade, or filtered shade beneath deciduous trees. Flowers will lessen in deep shade and foliage is likely to scorch in hot sun.
