Description
A clump forming perennial plant with dark green, strappy leaves. Bears clusters of lemon-yellow funnel form flowers, displayed in an umbel inflorescence which sits above the foliage on stout stems, during Winter/Spring. Suitable for massed understory and border plantings in shade. Compatible with many garden styles but not suitable for coastal sites. Prefers moist soils enriched with organic matter and with good drainage but will tolerate some poorer soils. Water regularly during the growing season. Will tolerate short periods of drought. Not frost hardy but will endure some cold conditions. Likes morning sun and afternoon shade, or filtered shade beneath deciduous trees. Mulch well and remove old flower stems.
