Dianella caerulea 'Cassa Blue'
Cassa Blue Paroo Lily
Description
A 'no cane' form of the herbaceous perennial Dianella with beautiful blue, blade-like foliage and a clumping habit. Similar in appearance to a dwarf Flax but much tougher. Masses of purple and yellow flowers are displayed from September to November. Purple berries follow flowers. Grows in full sun to part shade, tolerating drought, heat, cold and frost. Prefers a good, free draining soil. Mulch well with a chunky mulch and ensure that crown is planted above soil/mulch levels. Great colour contrast plant, good for accent or mass planting in Native and foliage/grassy gardens. Trim older leaves annually to maintain tidy appearance and liquid feed.
