Description
A medium-sized bushy shrub with attractive green, fern-like foliage and masses of large, orange-red flower racemes, which are displayed throughout most of the year. It tolerates a wide range of soils, preferring well-drained media, with a dislike for wet feet. It is frost hardy and requires little water once established, growing in full sun to part shade. Ideal for specimen plantings or for a small hedge/screen in residential or commercial landscapes. Not suitable for coastal situations. Bird attracting for nectar and shelter. Responds well to annual pruning after flowering in Summer to maintain a compact bushy growth.
