Lagerstroemia Indian Summer 'Natchez'
Natchez Crepe Myrtle
Description
A lovely, small to medium, ornamental, deciduous tree. Feature highlights are the attractive patterned bark and the masses of white flowers displayed in terminal panicles throughout the Summer and Autumn months. The branches have a pendulous, weeping effect when in flower. The dark green Summer foliage changes to a light reddish/bronze in Autumn. Grows in full sun to partial shade, preferring a moist, well-draining, slightly acidic soil, rich in organic matter. Suitable for temperate zones but not tolerant of coastal exposure. A very adaptable and long-flowering variety, suitable for use as feature tree in parks and gardens, in street plantings, or in large tubs. Remove spent flower heads to encourage next season's growth.
