Magnolia grandiflora 'Exmouth'
Bull Bay Magnolia, Exmouth Magnolia
Description
A medium to large, evergreen, conical, upright tree with narrow leaves that are glossy green above and velvety brown on the underside. Large, white, fragrant, saucer-shaped flowers appear during Spring and Summer. The tree likes full sun to part shade and an enriched, moist soil, well mulched to keep the root system cool. Suitable for temperate climates and will withstand frost, but, has limited coastal tolerance and needs protection from coastal winds. A lovely specimen tree for medium to large gardens or can be grown in over-sized pots in a courtyard. Fertilise with a complete fertiliser twice a year. Can be pruned to shape if required.
