Raphiolepis indica 'Cosmic Pink'
Cosmic Pink Indian Hawthorn
Description
A hardy, medium sized, evergreen, compact shrub with a mounding habit and a beautiful display of showy pink flowers through Spring and Summer. The ovate leaves are tough and leathery, dark green above and paler, olive green beneath. Grows best in full sun to light shade in sandy to well drained clay soils, tolerating frost, drought, and salt-laden coastal winds. A very tough shrub that copes with extreme weather conditions and is suited to many locations, including coastal positions and difficult planting sites. Ideal for water efficient gardens and landscapes. To establish, plant in a well mulched (chunky) garden and water as required for 8-13 weeks. If necessary, apply a slow release fertiliser in Spring. Prune after flowering to shape, if required.
