Westringia fruticosa 'Zena'
Westringia Zena, Coastal Rosemary, Native Rosemary
Description
An attractive, hardy, low-growing, evergreen shrub with a dense, bushy, rounded habit. Leaves are small, grey-green and tightly packed on the stems in a whorled arrangement. Flowers are pale mauve to bright white and are presented in clusters for most of the year. Grows well in windy, coastal situations and does best in an open position in full sun, but will accept part shade. Will tolerate dry periods and withstand light frosts once established. Works well as a low hedge or screening plant and is suitable for exposed sites and coastal gardens or in low maintenance gardens. Also good in pots, for topiary work, or alongside pools.Trim from when young, after flowering, to maintain a compact habit and promote new growth.
