Matthew is in essence the interface between stakeholders, including; the council as a client or steward of the civic space; the planners/designers who developed the vision; the consultants who generally have a narrow expert focus; the suppliers
who provide the materials, and the public that will use the space. Matthew’s job is as much about managing stakeholder expectations as it is about getting it built.

Through his experience Matthew has developed a set of guiding principles he believes play an important role in a successful outcome and can be applied to any project.

Matthew will use a number of case studies to help outline these principles including the Coal Loader site at Waverton, a current work in progress.
