Alpine Nurseries is proud to support the HeartKids Garden Tour. All proceeds go directly to HeartKids, a charity which offers support, encouragement and hope to families of children affected by Childhood Heart Disease (CHD). This is the 7th year Alpine has organised the garden tour and to date $140,000 has been raised. The tour this year will be on March 17th and will visit 5 spectacular private gardens on the Central Coast.
Tickets are $250.00 and are limited to a total of 120 people.
The designers who will be present during the day and will speak at the gardens they have designed are Michael Cooke, Adam Eurell , Christopher Owen and James Headland.
The tour will start at Eden Gardens in North Ryde and guests will be transported in coaches to each of the gardens and then return to Eden Gardens in the late afternoon. Morning Tea, lunch and afternoon drinks are provided.
The 5 gardens are quite diverse in their style and location and profile a wide range of plant selections and design ideas. The designer of each garden will give a short talk in the garden on the design process, plants and other interesting stories about the garden.
Bateau Bay, designed by James Headland from Pangkarra design. This is an intimate coastal garden with interesting plant selections and clever use of recycled materials.
Matcham Garden, designed by Christopher Owen. Private and tranquil, this garden is a study of minimalist simplicity. The garden has only recently been planted and will feature in an upcoming episode of the new ABC Dream Gardens show.
Matcham Garden designed by Michael Cooke. Started 20 years ago, this large acreage garden has a wide selection of plants. Parklike and rambling, its an easy garden to get lost in!
Wamberal Garden designed by Adam Eurell from Natures Vision Landscapes. This mature garden is impeccably maintained and reflects the owner’s passion for the garden. A wide mixture of native plants and grasses provides a tranquil and relaxing private oasis.
Somersby garden designed by Michael Cooke. This is a very large acreage garden that incorporates a lake, orchard and sprawling gardens. It is a mature garden with great character and tranquillity.
