Tree Stock Standard Roadshow Sydney – Tuesday 19th March

Alpine Nurseries proudly hosted the NSW Tree Stock Standard Roadshow event at Alpine Nurseries in Dural.

Alpine Nurseries has been involved in the development of AS2303 since its inception. As the pilot nursery, Alpine contributed to forming the methodology behind the Western Sydney University research into size index. On Tuesday 19th March 2019, we welcomed the Western Sydney University team to share their findings with the industry.

Alpine Nurseries events 2019This successful workshop to a full house of 120 industry representatives provided an update to the Australian standards off the back of research findings, targeted to landscape professionals in public spaces. We were thrilled to host Professor Mark G. Tjoelker from the Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment, Western Sydney University, a leading plant biologist and ecologist. Mark presented the latest research findings in nursery tree stock balance parameters and took us through the journey that led to the revised standard.
