We are proud to announce Alpine Nurseries was awarded best Large Production Nursery at this year’s Nursery and Garden Industry NSW and ACT (NGINA) awards.
Our entry dealt primarily with our nursery at Alstonville. This nursery is managed by Bruce Wilson who is supported by a team of about 25 full-time staff. This award is recognition for Alpine Alstonville’s commitment to operating a successful large production nursery.
Alpine Alstonville is now growing large volumes of semi mature stock to complement existing production capabilities from propagation to common landscape lines in 140mm, 200mm and 300mm sizes. It is a complete nursery in its own right with a growing direct sales channel
We are also very pleased that Ben Habershon, Production Manager at Alpine Alstonville, was recognised with the Young Leader Award at the 2014 NGINA awards.
Ben started at Alpine in 2007 and manages a large team of about 20 staff. He has strong planning skills and has become very good at growing quality stock according to a complex production plan and sales forecasts. Ben is vitally important to the continued success and expansion of Alpine Alstonville. He represents the future of our organisation.
The National Nursery Awards will be announced in Sydney on 13 March. Good luck Alpine Alstonville and Ben!
