Taking customer service to a new level with Alpine Online 2.0

The user experience for Alpine Nurseries customers just got a whole lot better with the launch on Wednesday 13 July 2016 of Alpine Online 2.0, allowing users to conveniently order from an online list of over 10,000 plants, and at the same time take advantage of a 5 per cent wholesale discount.

“We think this is probably the best nursery online software currently on the market. It represents a one stop shop for our customers, and it will revolutionise the way we do business,” said Managing Director, Peter Knox.

“Developing this software has been a comprehensive and collaborative process involving intensive customer feedback and a close analysis of business trends. At its core, the design process was driven by a desire for user excellence centred on simplicity, speed and convenience,” he said.

Key features of Alpine 2.0 include:

  • Increased plant list from 1,000 to 10,000 plants
  • Provision for sourcing of plants not listed online within the order
  • Live inventory and live delivery bookings
  • Easy search – by category or plant name
  • Ability to view outstanding balances and download invoice statements
  • Quick generation of estimates and quotations
  • Ability to create a ‘favourites’ list
  • Open 24/7

Sales Executive Rob Robinson was recruited to Alpine Nurseries earlier this year, and his technical expertise, which was honed in previous online purchasing roles, will help to grow the online sector of the business.

“While this new online portal delivers, Alpine remains an evolving customer focused business run by and for people. Our customers can relax knowing that real people are working at the back end of the ordering process, and we have a dedicated point of contact for those customers with queries about their order,” Rob said.

“Our focus remains on putting our customers first, competently meeting their ordering needs and maintaining a strong level of communication,” he said.

A significant change from the former online ordering system is customers can now process their whole order online, including any stock that needs to be sourced elsewhere.

The software also offers a new level of flexibility, where busy customers can order stock after hours, rather than having to stop in the middle of a job. Orders received after hours are processed first thing the next morning, and the live inventory feature means stock quantities are always accurate.

Alpine Online 2.0 will go live on Wednesday 13 July 2016. To register, eligible customers simply need to visit www.alpinenurseries.com.au or straight to http://online.alpinenurseries.com.au and select the Alpine Online option in the top right hand corner of all pages.
